The Italian government a few days ago approved a draft law to allocate relevant resources to the SKA design activities in Italy.
Twelve millions a year for 10 years have been destined by Italian government to SKA organization to build up activities, while one million per year starting on 2030 will be provided to INAF to support SKA project management expenses.
In such a scenario the Italian R&D activities proceed in being very important and challenging. The news is mainly interesting for INAF who has in charge a crucial part of the SKA LFAA development together with Sanitas EG, who is responsible of the acquisition modules, TPM (tile processing module) design and development .
